Re: Gold Valet on a 1960's MG

Just out of interest , What did you use on the bumpers and roof???

The whole car has a snow foam and rinse to remove a majority of the surface dirt, then the roof was cleaned with the AutoGlym cabrio cleaner and sponge, along with some G101 to help, like wise the bumpers were cleaned with a combo of shampoo and G101. Roof was dressed with a light mix of Autosmart finish (i think) which was worked into the hood, and the bumpers were dressed with Autosmart Highstyle and then the excess buffed off with a microfiber.

Re: Anti-Fog Products?

People will tell you all sorts but there is no easy answer. My experience is that most easy answers come from people who know less than they believe. The reputation of silicones in paint shops is there for a reason - they are a bugger to reliably remove. Worse still, there isn't really a great way of being sure!

That helps you zero, I am afraid!

Re: What Products or Equipment Have You Bought

This week I have gone for a G3 Clay Mitt.....always been a bar man so it will be a first for me......and the big purchase Nomad Pressure washer . The ultimate water pistol:)

Really??!!! I must admit it looks a great bit of kit but how does it cope on a car ??? can you get the whole job done? (the pressure washer not the mit)

Only just saw this so really late reply:) Having had it for 6 months or so and its still working. It copes with rinsing, and small enough to give the boot gutters a blast, but not too great with dirt removal. I like it for rinsing as im going jobs like wheels and grilles. Is it worth the money 50/50....definitley if it was nearer £100 - 120. If you need a quick and easy bit of water its good. Heavy work not.
