Hello all , firstly i joined this site about a month ago and been so busy not had time to come and post!!!
Theres a few familar names on here from the other site i'm glad to see. But for those that dont know me I'm Dan running my mobile valeting services from lands end to truro(only if it pays enough).
Have a good base of customers but even after 3+ years theres still lots of potential for expanding the business whichever way that might be i'll be looking for words of wisdom right here!!!

A lovley way to start the year for me with a full valet on a car that's being sold ( they always are) and has not had the easyiest life.

First job to get some an online supplier non caustic TFR around it including the door shuts then a good jet wash down got rid of that thick layer of mud and grit
The wheels haven't seen any form of cleaner since the last the last labour government so it had to be an acid based cleaner from Autosmart with the tyres and arches cleaned with an online supplier MPC
Shampoo was an online supplier's autoshine I find this gives an excellent clean and leaves no film or residue behind. Tar spots with Autosmart Tardis then a final wash and dry of with IPA ,
The budget and the priority was to get this saleable so I used autosmarts platinum polish by hand . It seems to clean the surface chemically as it has little cutting action , it also fills small defects and will keep it glossy long enough to sell.
External plastics was autosmarts Trim ultra.

Next on to the interior after a dry hoover carpets where washed with autojoyMPC and finished with a mixture of black diamond and autojoys carpet shampoo
Leather seats got a clean with autosmart leather shampoo dash and internal plastics finished with an online supplier pink sheen
All in approx. 5 1/2 hours

Super turnaround on the Volvo Dan, did your new wet vac help out in the mucky mess inside....

I wish that it had been delivered a day earlier so had to use the bissel carpet spot washer that fits on our upright machine in the house. its not up to the job and leaves a lot of water behind. Got a lovely berlingo to try out the new one on weds.

Re: Which wheel cleaner?

Autosmarts Smart Wheels
Like its dilution ratio, 4-1 sorts 80% of jobs will also clean the tyres and it has brightners in to leave the alloy looking er ??!!? "bright"

Re: Photo Editing

I think theres nothing wrong with giving them a little tweek , Especially during the more overcast winter months when conditions and lighting don't do any favours .
That guy in Greece always used to post up stunning photos of his work but could you say that by using studio lighting and expensive cameras was maybe the same as us doing it on the computer?

I broke my nice but old smart phone last nov and had to buy a budget £50 special to get me by , but it only has a basic 2mp camera and its stopping me posting photos as they don't look 'special enough'.
